This is a website which I have created because of popular demand for my books. As I am a self-published author I do not have access to normal marketing and distribution outlets so have to promote the books myself. My first book A Distant Dream was published two years ago, and I followed that a year later with its sequel The Dream Fulfilled. Both of the these books have been highly successful with the reading public and the demand has been so persistent for follow-up on these stories, Dream Series Trilogy, that I have now published the third book, The Dream is Shattered, just before Christmas, 2009. Many thanks to Eric of Bookbound Publishing, please visit his website by clicking on his link below
The original book A Distant Dream was the recipient of first prize for fiction for 2007 from the NSW Writers' Centre . The Centre Director, said "It is an outstanding piece of writing" and I have had many letters of acclaim, mostly from complete strangers, about the books. On this website under contacts you will find my email address for anyone who wants to contact me personally. I am available as a speaker for any clubs or organisations who may wish to make use of my services. I speak on Family History and also with the third book when it is published, I talk about Australia's involvement in the First World War, as that is the topic which relates to the book.

This is the story of two ordinary families who leave England midway in the 19th century to go 12,000 miles to begin a new life in Colonial Australia. They know very little about the country they are moving to but are determined to start a new life promising them opportunities that they never dared dream of in the conditions under which they were living ....

This book follows on immediately from the first with the train journey as Louisa Williams travels with her three youngest children to Parramatta. The two sisters meet with friends from their past, and the two families' lives become entwined as Louisa matures ...

This book, the third and final in the Dream Series, continues the story ten years after the end of The Dream Fulfilled. At the end of 1913, the families of Richardson and Williams travel to Europe just prior to the start of the Great War. The story covers a five year period up until the end of 1918 and various members of the family are caught up in the conflict. Actual historical events as they occur, relating to the war, are incorporated into the story, including Gallipoli, the desert war of the Middle East and the trenches of France. The world's last great cavalry charge ever is a major part of the historical context as the story of the Australian Light Horsemen's victorious charge at Beersheba is also related. There are many dramas and tragedies until eventually the survivors are once again home safe in Australia. ...
